Dr. Franzman
Dr. Michael Franzman started QC Perio in 2007. Originally from Cedar Rapids, Iowa, he received a BA in Biology from Wartburg College and then earned his dental degree (DDS) from The University of Iowa College of Dentistry. He completed a 3 year periodontics residency and master's degree at the University of Iowa in 2007.
Dr. Franzman received the prestigious Balint Orban Award from the American Academy of Periodontology in 2007. This award recognizes the top periodontal resident research in basic science. He is the first University of Iowa Periodontics graduate student from to win the award. He has been board certified by the American Board of Periodontology since 2008.

Dr. Franzman is married with three grown children. His interests include: playing guitar and singing, sports, and community activities. He is a passionate clinician, striving to provide the best possible care for his patients in a caring environment.
Dr. Bobera
Originally from Crystal Lake, IL, Dr. Bobera graduated from The University of Iowa in 2018. He then completed his dental degree at Iowa in 2022, followed by continuing with a 3 year residency in periodontics at Iowa. In 2025 he became the second University of Iowa Periodontics graduate to win the prestigious Balint Orban Award from the American Academy of Periodontology. He achieved board certification in 2026.
